MATCH PREVIEW

La Liga’s número dos, Atletico Madrid, welcome número tres, Valencia, for this top match at the Wanda Metropolitano. Although starting the new year in style (W4, D1, L0), Valencia have seen a turn in form and come into this match with three straight losses in all competitions.
Atletico have recently lost to Sevilla on two occasions in Copa del Rey, but their form in La Liga have been on point lately. With three wins and one draw in four they have increased their distance to chasing teams like Valencia and Real Madrid.
Valencia have failed to beat Atletico on the last six occasions (W0, L4, D2). In Madrid, it looks even worse – eight games have passed without a Valencia win (W0, L5, D3).
With the final stages of season fast approaching there are no break in the waves of matches. \”We\’re still competing in two competitions and we\’re going to keep on fighting until the end\”, Antoine Griezmann said.
Players to watch: Since Valencia\’s top scorer Simone Zaza has seemingly stopped scoring (his last goal was on Dec 9), their fans may now look to Santi Mina for goals instead. The young Spaniard have netted in three games in a row.
As usual, Los Rojiblancos puts their faith in top scorer Griezmann to deliver yet again (three goals in three games).
Stat attack: With seasonal awards in both La Liga and the Champions League for the last two years, Slovenian keeper Jan Oblak is enjoying yet another excellent campaign. Thirteen clean sheets so far is a LL high.
Valencia players have been shown the yellow card 71 times this season, which is second ‘best’ in LL (Getafe 73).
The last ten head to head games have seen 23 goals (2.3 on average), and the last five have seen 20 yellow cards (4 on average) and one red.

MATCH PREVIEW: LEVANTE 2-2 REAL MADRID (SPAIN: LALIGA) FREE BETTING PICKS FOR TODAY, FEBRUARY 3

League: SPAIN: LaLiga – Round 22
Match: 20:45 Levante – Real Madrid

Average odds: 1.36

Result: 2:2 WIN!!!

MATCH PREVIEW

Struggling Levante lock horns with Real Madrid at the Ciutat de Valencia to wrap up Saturday’s La Liga (LL) action. Can the hosts pull off an upset and become the fifth side to beat Madrid in the league this season?
The going has been pretty tough for Levante so far in their first campaign back in the big time. Ahead of this round of matches, they sit in 16th place just two points above the bottom three and are without a win in their last nine LL outings – picking up just four points in the process (W0, D4, L5). Juan Ramon Lopez Muñiz’s men go into Saturday’s clash off the back of snatching a last-gasp 2-2 draw away to Deportivo La Coruna.
There are still three-and-a-half months of the season to go, but Madrid’s chances of winning back-to-back LL titles have been almost entirely extinguished. Zinedine Zidane’s side are currently a embarrassing 19 points behind pacesetters Barcelona with a game in hand, so their focus has inevitably shifted to securing a Champions League spot.
Madrid travel to Levante buoyed by a morale-boosting 4-1 win away at Valencia last Saturday. They have won nine of their 11 top-flight trips to Levante (W9, D1, L1), with their only loss coming in September 2011.
Players to watch: Levante are one of Cristiano Ronaldo’s favourite opponents. CR7 has found the back of the net a staggering 14 times (11 in LL) against in all competitions (13 games).
Albanian striker Armando Sadiku has joined Levante from Legia Warsaw until 2020. Chances are Sadiku will make his debut against Madrid – can he make an instant impact?
Stat attack: No other side have drawn more games than Levante (ten) in LL so far this season. They have played out four goalless draws.
Real Madrid have had the most shots on goal (300) in LL this campaign, but they’ve pulled off just 146 on target which is perhaps just one reason for their relatively poor form so far.

MATCH PREVIEW: STOKE 0-0 WATFORD (ENGLAND: PREMIER LEAGUE) FREE BETTING PICKS FOR TODAY, JANUARY 31

League: ENGLAND: Premier League – Round 25
Match: 21:00 Stoke – Watford
Prediction: 1X
Average odds: 1.34
Bookmaker: Unibet
Result: 0:0 WIN!!!

MATCH PREVIEW

Following a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield, new Stoke coach Paul Lambert will look to continue that trend against against a tenth-placed Watford side who have recently had their own changes in the dugout.
After losing their first Premier League (PL) match against Watford back in October 2015, Stoke have enjoyed playing the Hornets, winning each of their last four both at half time and full time.
New Watford head coach Javi Garcia could be without 11 players for his first game in charge – he will hope to be the first Watford manager to win his first game in charge. After a poor run of form, the Watford fans will hope Garcia can inspire a much-needed away win here.
Stoke will be looking to achieve back-to-back PL wins for the first time since January 2017 – a run which saw them beat Watford 1-0 away. In the last game between the sides earlier this season, Stoke also won 1-0 even though Watford claimed 70% of possession and garnered 15 shots on goal.
With both teams recently partaking in the managers’ merry-go-round, both fanbases are stoked and hope that the ‘New Manager Syndrome’ will help them gain an important victory. Could the new managers’ need for a win, in fact, cancel each other out? Or could we see a high-scoring battle?
Players to watch: Stoke top goalscorer Mame Biram Diouf has been in-form for the Potters this season scoring five goals.
Malian midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré has seven goals and one assist for Watford.
Stat attack: Watford have failed to score in 274 minutes of football against Stoke and have a dire 22% away record in all competitions.
Moreover, Watford have lost their last five away PL matches and have conceded at least two goals in their last four matches.
Stoke will be hoping that Ryan Shawcross is in the team as Stoke concede an average of 1.56 goals per game; however, without him, that figure doubles to 3.12.

MATCH PREVIEW: FIORENTINA 1-4 VERONA (ITALY: SERIE A) FREE BETTING PICKS FOR TODAY, JANUARY 28

League: ITALY: Serie A – Round 22
Match: 15:00 Fiorentina – Verona
Prediction: Home Win
Average odds: 1.31
Bookmaker: bwin
Result: 1:4 WIN!!!

MATCH PREVIEW

Fiorentina saw their stilted Serie A (SA) season hit another bump against Sampdoria last weekend. The 3-1 loss saw their unbeaten streak stopped at eight (W2, D6, L0) leaving them 11th with 28 points. That’s just three points lesser than AC Milan in seventh, but only five above the relegation zone.
Their visitors Verona are at the centre of a relegation whirlpool and find themselves in 19th after 21 games with 13 points. After four consecutive losses, the patience of the Verona fans is being tested and this match could be the last chance for coach Fabio Pecchia to save his job!
La Viola’s home form is impressive with just one loss in nine matches (W4, D4, L1). For a side that has an equal number of wins, draws, and losses (seven) in the league, their home form is particularly a worry for fans. Can they ride on the storm and stay above the drop zone?
Verona have a dismal away record in SA – only Benevento have fewer points than their six. With just one win in ten games (W1, D3, L6). It doesn’t help that they have conceded the second most goals (44) in SA.
With the interesting fact that Fiorentina are undefeated at home in 27 matches and Verona not winning away in 27 matches – could we see Verona break that record with a draw or win? Or will Fiorentina pile more misery on their opponents here today?
Key battles: Fiorentina’s Giovanni Simeone has had a hand in one-third of Fiorentina’s goals (seven goals, three assists) so far in SA.
His task won’t be easy, though, as Verona’s keeper Nicolas has been in heroic form for the visitors.
Stat attack: Verona’s last defeat in Florence was in December 2013, remaining unbeaten in their last two visits (W1, D1, L0).
Fiorentina have lost only once to Verona in their last ten encounters (W8, D1, L1). There has never been a goalless draw in their 17 competitive matches.

MATCH PREVIEW: SASSUOLO 0-3 ATALANTA (ITALY: SERIE A) FREE BETTING PICKS FOR TODAY, JANUARY 27

League: ITALY: Serie A – Round 22
Match: 18:00 Sassuolo – Atalanta
Prediction: Over 1.5 Goals
Average odds: 1.33
Bookmaker: bwin
Result: 0:3 WIN!!!

MATCH PREVIEW

Atalanta will look to get back to winning ways this weekend when they travel to Sassuolo in Serie A (SA).
Sassuolo are 14th in the table after 21 games (22pts) with no imminent danger of relegation – six points ahead of the bottom three. Only the bottom-placed Benevento have scored fewer goals than Sassuolo (14) and 13 of their 21 games played (62%) ended with less than three match goals.
Atalanta lost a tight encounter against Napoli (1-0) last weekend, which was only their second in eight SA games (W4, D2, L2). That also marked the first time that Atalanta failed to find the back of the net, during this run. They remain eighth in the table (30pts) hanging onto the coattails of top-six!
The hosts are unbeaten in three home SA games (W1, D1, L0), ending a run of seven home matches without a win (W0, D2, L5). Only three teams have fewer home points than Sassuolo, whose tally of five goals is the least!
After a disastrous away form with no wins in seven trips (W0, D3, L4), Atalanta are unbeaten in four games on the road (W3, D1, L0). In all those wins, the visitors scored exactly two goals.
Key battles: Midfielder Matteo Politano is involved in six (three goals, three assists) of the 14 goals (43%) scored by Sassuolo in SA this season. The last time he was involved in a goal, Sassuolo won against Inter. His duel with Atalanta’s Alejandro Gomez (four goals, six assists) could determine the outcome of this match.
Stat attack: Sassuolo have beaten Atalanta only twice in 14 encounters in all competitions (W2, D3, L9) with Atalanta remaining unbeaten in the last eight of those.
In six of their last seven encounters, both sides have scored at least one goal.
