League: SPAIN: LaLiga – Round 6
Match: 19:00 Valladolid – Levante
Prediction: Over 1.5 Goals
Average odds: 1.34
Bookmaker: Bwin
Result: 2:1 WIN!!!

MATCH PREVIEW

It’s still early in the season, but Valladolid’s Thursday clash with Levante certainly has all the hallmarks of a six-pointer in the La Liga (LL) survival race. Fasten your seat belts for an action-packed encounter at the Zorrilla between two sides that are badly in need of a win.
Newly-promoted Valladolid’s wait for a first triumph of the campaign extended to five games (D3, L2) as they fought back from two goals down to snatch a 3-3 draw deep into injury time against Celta at the Balaídos last Saturday. Sergio González’s side have failed to scored in any of their two home games so far, losing 1-0 to Barcelona and Alavés.
Levante, who sit just a point above Valladolid going into the clash, cannot afford to feel sorry for themselves following the 6-2 thumping they suffered at the hands of Sevilla on Sunday, which stretched their winless run to four matches (D1, L3). In their last outing away from home, Paco López’s men succumbed to a 1-0 defeat against Espanyol.
It’s 54 years to the day that Levante claimed their only win away at Valladolid in the top-flight. That being said, Valladolid are winless in their last five meetings with Levante in all competitions (D2, L3).
Players to watch: Levante forward Roger Martí has netted four LL goals from 13 shots so far this season (405 min).
Young attacking midfielder Leo Suárez had a dream debut for Valladolid, scoring a 94th-minute equaliser just two minutes after coming off the bench to rescue a point against Celta.
Stat attack: There has never been a goalless draw in 22 previous meetings between these teams in the top two tiers of Spanish football.
Valladolid have now gone 16 home matches without conceding more than two goals.
Levante haven’t lost three LL games in a row since a run of four between February and March this year.

MATCH PREVIEW: SEVILLA 3-0 REAL MADRID (SPAIN: LALIGA) FREE BETTING PICKS FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 26

League: SPAIN: LaLiga – Round 6
Match: 21:00 Sevilla – Real Madrid
Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals
Average odds: 1.47
Bookmaker: Bwin
Result: 3:0 WIN!!!

MATCH PREVIEW

Real Madrid travel to a venue – the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán – where they have failed to win in their last three visits, a remarkable winless streak for a club of their stature.
Sevilla snapped their previous three-game goalless run in emphatic fashion, after scoring 11 in just a few days – against Standard Liege (5-1; Europa League) and then at Levante (6-2)!
They return home, where surprisingly they are yet to find the scoresheet in a La Liga game this season, though are starting to look more like the Sevilla that scored 31 at home in 2017/18.
Real Madrid have dropped points just once this season, albeit in their last away game (at Athletic Bilbao). They have taken points from 18 of their last 21 league games on the road (W11, D7, L3) but have won just one of their last five (D3, L1) including the loss at Sevilla (3-2) back in May.
As mentioned, ‘Los Blancos’ have failed to claim a victory in their last three away fixtures against Sevilla, including the first-leg of their Copa Del Rey Round-of-16 tie in 2016/17. Both teams scored in all three matches.
Players to watch: Wissam Ben Yedder (Sevilla) netted a hat-trick (and one assist) in the 6-2 rout of Levante as well as a double against Standard Liege. He also scored in Sevilla’s last home meeting with Real Madrid.
Gareth Bale (Real Madrid) looks set to return to the side off the back of a goal against Roma. He has registered a goal and/or an assist in eight of his last nine appearances for club or country.
Stat attack: The last 11 competitive fixtures between these two sides have all produced three or more total goals.
Sevilla have scored two or more goals in their last six home matches against Real Madrid (in all comps.).
Real Madrid have scored two or more goals in 11 of their last 12 matches against Sevilla (in all comps.).

MATCH PREVIEW: ATLETICO MADRID 3-0 HUESCA (SPAIN: LALIGA) FREE BETTING PICKS FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 25

League: SPAIN: LaLiga – Round 6
Match: 21:00 Atletico Madrid – Huesca
Prediction: Under 3.5 Goals
Average odds: 1.44
Bookmaker: Bwin
Result: 3:0 WIN!!!

MATCH PREVIEW

In what is expected to be a fairly one-sided match, Atlético welcome Huesca to the Wanda Metropolitano for a first-ever meeting of these two sides, with the visitors hoping to bolster an away record that has seen them pick up all of their La Liga (LL) points on the road so far.
Having lost at home in LL just once this calendar year (W9, D4, L1), title-contenders Atlético are well used to converting their match-favourite tag into points on the board. However despite being unbeaten at home this campaign (W1, D1) the hosts can be slow-starters, and have only scored a first-half goal in one of their last five LL home games.
Contrast that with their opponents, who have netted four of their six LL away goals in the first-half. In fact Huesca are yet to score a goal at home this season – even against nine-man Real Sociedad in their last outing (0-1) – and have their away form (W1, D1, L1) to thank for their four points so far (W1, D1, L3). They’ve also scored the match opener in two of their three LL away games.
However while they may be partial to an away goal, Huesca have also conceded more (13) than any other LL team this campaign.
Players to watchThomas Lemar scored his first-ever goal for Atlético at the weekend, after finishing off a slick-passing move against Getafe. Meanwhile, Huesca’s Cucho came close in his last two games – but his sole LL goal so far came at Barcelona.
Stat attack: Atlético have kept a clean sheet in nine of their last 12 LL home games.
Huesca have scored over 1.5 team goals in six of their last seven away league matches, including all three of their top-flight fixtures.
Both teams have scored in four of Huesca’s last five away league matches.

MATCH PREVIEW: FEYENOORD 1-0 UTRECHT (NETHERLANDS: EREDIVISIE) FREE BETTING PICKS FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 23

League: NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie – Round 6
Match: 11:15 Feyenoord – Utrecht
Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals
Average odds: 1.49
Bookmaker: Bwin
Result: 1:0 LOST

MATCH PREVIEW

The two sides finished just one place apart last term, but have experienced contrasting starts to this season, with Feyenoord 11 places to the good above Utrecht ahead of the round.
Feyenoord have good momentum ahead of kick-off, scoring three or more goals in each of their last five Eredivisie home games. Despite picking up three consecutive wins and a draw after their opening day defeat, Feyenoord’s current points tally after five games is the lowest in any of the last four seasons, including this one.
The Rotterdammers remain just three points away from the top two and look good to extend their current Eredivisie unbeaten run to five matches, against a Utrecht side who have won at De Kuip in just one of their last 15 visits across all competitions (W1, D2, L12).
Despite having a poor record at De Kuip, Utrecht teams usually score there, with seven of the club’s last nine losses at the stadium seeing both teams score. The fact remains, however, that Utrecht have failed to win any of their last nine Eredivisie away games (D3, L6).
Players to watch: Steven Berghuis finally got off the mark for Feyenoord this season at the fifth time of asking, he was directly involved in 30 goals last term (18 goals, 12 assists).
Five different players have scored each of Utrecht’s goals. Sander van de Streek put Utrecht ahead early last week, and scored ten goals from 37 appearances last term.
Stat attack: Feyenoord have scored two or more goals against Utrecht in each of their last four visits to De Kuip in all competitions.
Utrecht have picked up a red card in two of their last four Eredivisie games.
Both teams have scored in six of the last seven editions of this fixture, with five of those games also featuring over 2.5 goals.

MATCH PREVIEW: VITESSE 1-1 DEN HAAG (NETHERLANDS: EREDIVISIE) FREE BETTING PICKS FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 22

League: NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie – Round 6
Match: 19:45 Vitesse – Den Haag
Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals
Average odds: 1.55
Bookmaker: Bwin
Result: 1:1 LOST

MATCH PREVIEW

Saturday night’s Eredivisie action is rounded off with the clash between high-flying Vitesse and a very unpredictable Den Haag. The hosts have a strong home record versus Den Haag in the top flight (W11, D6, L4) and have lost just once in the last nine (W5, D3, L1).
Goals are usually guaranteed when Vitesse take to the GelreDome pitch. Each of their last seven Eredivisie home games have produced over 2.5 goals. Vitesse won five of those games and scored at least three goals in four.
Compound the above stat with the fact that Den Haag have conceded at least two goals in each of their last six away Eredivisie games, and the visitors could be in for a long evening. Furthermore, Den Haag manager Alfons Groenendijk has a record of W2, D1, L4 versus Vitesse, losing each of his last two encounters with both teams scoring.
Meanwhile, Vitesse manager Leonid Slutsky has lost just one Eredivisie game in his short time in the Netherlands (W2, D2, L1) and should feel confident about his first meeting with Den Haag.
Players to watch: Fox in the box Tim Matavz (Vitesse) scored his 75th and 76th Eredivisie goals last time out. Interestingly, each of his last 51 goals have come from inside of the box.
Ahead of this Eredivisie round, Nasser El Khayati leads the Eredivisie scoring charts after scoring six goals in his last three Eredivisie starts for Den Haag.
Stat attack: Vitesse have been winning at both HT/FT in each of their league victories this term.
Conversely, Den Haag have been losing at both HT/FT in each of their three losses so far this term.
With 16 goals shipped, no side has conceded more goals than Den Haag after five games.

MATCH PREVIEW: HUESCA 0-1 REAL SOCIEDAD (SPAIN: LALIGA) FREE BETTING PICKS FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 21

League: SPAIN: LaLiga – Round 5
Match: 20:00 Huesca – Real Sociedad
Prediction: Over 1.5 Goals
Average odds: 1.36
Bookmaker: Bwin
Result: 0:1 LOST

MATCH PREVIEW

After a promising start to La Liga (LL), Huesca succumbed to two-straight defeats (W1, D1, L2) but will look to get back on track here against a Real Sociedad team that they have never beaten.
The hosts are not a high-scoring home side, and Huesca’s failure to hit the net in their defeat to Rayo Vallecano (0-1) last week would have come as no surprise to home fans. Their team has scored just nine goals in their last ten home league matches, and the last time Huesca scored more than two goals in a home competitive fixture was back in December 2017.
With four points from four games (W1, D1, L2), it’s been a slow start for the visitors, who had already picked up nine points by this stage last season. This will be Sociedad’s fourth away trip in five matches this season due to safety problems at the Anoeta and they may fancy their chances against a Huesca side that has conceded nine goals in their last two games – albeit eight of those at Barcelona.
Expect Sociedad to attack from the whistle, they’ve scored the game opener in three of their four LL fixtures – including a 2-1 home defeat to Barcelona in their last outing.
These two teams have met four times before (in La Liga 2), with Sociedad unbeaten, winning three of four H2Hs (W3, D1).
Players to watch: Huesca’s Álex Gallar continues to impress and has three goals in four LL games.
With Sociedad’s top-scorer last season, Willian José, unlikely to start due to injury, Juanmi will lead the attacking line and has scored once this season.
Stat attack: Huesca have recorded just one clean sheet in their last eight home league fixtures.
In their last eight LL fixtures, Sociedad have scored 75% of their goals in the first-half.
Sociedad haven’t followed a home defeat with an away win since February 2017.

MATCH PREVIEW: PAOK 0-1 CHELSEA (EUROPA LEAGUE – GROUP STAGE) FREE BETTING PICKS FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 20

League: EUROPE: Europa League – Group Stage – Round 1
Match: 17:55 PAOK – Chelsea
Prediction: Over 1.5 Goals
Average odds: 1.32
Bookmaker: Bwin
Result: 0:1 LOST

MATCH PREVIEW

The opening game in Group L of the 2018/19 Europa League (EL) sees Greek powerhouse PAOK welcome a domestically rampant Chelsea side.
Like their opponents, PAOK have won all of their domestic league games so far. However, with the Greek Super League only ranked 14th by UEFA, this is barely comparable to Chelsea’s five-game winning run at the start of the season, in a Premier League ranked 12 places above.
This will be the first competitive meeting between PAOK and Chelsea. Across four European games against English opposition, PAOK remain unbeaten (W2, D2) and have not yet conceded a goal at home to an English side.
On the other hand, Chelsea are unbeaten in their four historical games against Greek opposition (W2, D2). However, both of their away ties in Greece to date have ended with the spoils shared.
The hosts have never made it past the round-of-32 in all of their EL appearances, whilst Chelsea have competed in the Champions League in four out of the last five seasons. The last time they competed in the EL back in 2012/13 – they won the competition!
Players to watch: Aleksandar Prijović scored in four of PAOK’s six European qualification games. He also scored the winning goal on the opening day of the domestic season.
Eden Hazard (Chelsea) has scored seven goals across five consecutive games for both club and country, which is already a new personal best five-game run for the talented Belgian.
Stat attack: Chelsea have scored at least two goals in each of their last six EL games, with each of those games featuring over 2.5 goals.
PAOK have received nine cards across their last two European home games, averaging 4.5 per game.
Chelsea have received exactly one yellow card in each of their last four domestic away games.

MATCH PREVIEW: VALENCIA 0-2 JUVENTUS (CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – GROUP STAGE) FREE BETTING PICKS FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 19

League: Champions League – Group Stage – Round 1
Match: 20:00 Valencia – Juventus
Prediction: Over 1.5 Goals
Average odds: 1.34
Bookmaker: Bwin
Result: 0:2 WIN!!!

MATCH PREVIEW

It’s matchday one in Group H of the Champions League (CL), where Valencia welcome Juventus to Mestalla for their first taste of European football in three years. It’s a welcome return for the finalists of 1999/00 and 2000/01, who badly need to kickstart their season.
Valencia have opened their domestic season with four winless games (D3, L1), but are now in for something completely different. Playing Italian opponents for the first time since 2009, ‘Los Che’ need to take inspiration from their home form in the 2017/18 La Liga season (W13, D3, L3) in which they conceded just 13 goals (0.68 on average).
The ‘Bianconeri’ have progressed from the group stage in four straight seasons, although results on the road in those games (W6, D2, L4) have been mixed. Recent matches involving Juventus have not always been goalfests, highlighted by the fact that only two of their ten CL matches last season produced over 2.5 goals.
However there is still every chance that both teams could score, given that Juventus have kept a clean sheet in just one of their last four games since parting ways with legendary goalkeeper Gigi Buffon.
Players to watchRodrigo was top scorer for Valencia last season and scored in both of Spain’s matches in the Nations League recently.
For Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo needs no introduction. It’s currently 120 CL goals and counting, and he faces an opponent that he’s scored against 15 times in 18 matches.
Stat attack: Topically, across all competitions, Juventus’ last seven away matches have averaged 3.57 goals.
In their first four matches this season, Valencia have been shown 11 yellow cards (2.75 on average).
It has been close to a year since Juventus lost a match of consequence on the road, with a record of W16, D3 from the last 19 across all competitions.
