MATCH PREVIEW

After opening UEFA Nations League (UNL) League C, Group 3 with a win over Cyprus (2-0), Norway then fell to a 1-0 defeat away to Bulgaria in their last game. They now face the number-one ranked team in the group, Slovenia, who have fallen to two-straight losses and already face an uphill battle to gain promotion.
Norway were actually on a good run of five straight wins before the Bulgaria reversal, but remain unbeaten at home in eight games (W6, D2). Interestingly, Norway have lost eight times at home since 2013 and all of them were to nil.
Slovenia’s form has dropped right off since 2017 and they are now amid a run of just one win in seven games (W1, D1, L5). With one away victory in eight games (W1, D2, L5), five of which saw them fail to score, Slovenia are up against it here.
Although the teams haven’t met since 2013, the H2H great favours Norway with five wins to Slovenia’s one, while one draw was also seen. Norway have won all three home games versus Slovenia.
Players to watch: Joshua King (NOR) has four Premier League goals for Bournemouth this season, including two last weekend, and will look to add to his 12 international goals here.
Kevin Kampl brings some Bundesliga experience to the Slovenia side and also got on the scoresheet last weekend for RB Leipzig.
Stat attack: Six of the seven H2H encounters have produced over 2.5 goals.
The last three H2H games have seen over 1.5 goals at half-time.
Only two of Norway’s last 12 games have seen both teams score.
Only three of Slovenia’s last 14 away games have seen both sides score.
Slovenia have conceded just one first-half goal in seven away games.
