MATCH PREVIEW

Hampden Park will host the first ever competitive meeting between Scotland and Albania, as the home side get their inaugural UEFA Nations League (UNL) campaign underway.
Scotland (UEFA ranked #27) are four places higher in the UEFA standings than their visitors, Albania (#31), although it is ‘The Eagles’ (ALB) who have an early advantage in League C, Group 1, after beating Israel (#34) 1-0 on the opening day.
Now in his second stint as Scotland manager, Alex McLeish has won just once in five games (W1, L4). He has only seen his team score one goal in 450 minutes of football. Furthermore, a stinging 4-0 defeat to Belgium in their last game saw Scotland equal their worst ever run of three straight home defeats!
Overall, the hosts are on a dreadful run of form heading into this game, with five losses from their last six games. That noted, Albania had an identical run of: W1, L5, prior to their opening day UNL victory. They have also failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven games.
Players to watch: Captain Andrew Robertson (Scotland) brings some real European pedigree to the side. The Liverpool star has two assists from his past four club starts.
Albanian playmaker Jahmir Hyka now has an assist in each of his last two starts, for club and country. He has scored three goals this term for San Jose in the MLS.
Stat attack: Scotland have failed to register a goal in five of their last six games.
In addition, the hosts have lost their past three home games to nil.
Albania have had under five corners in four of their last five away matches.
Between the two managers (in their current stints) there has only been one draw from a combined total of 14 games.
