MATCH PREVIEW

League C, Group Two of the UEFA Nations League (UNL) gets underway with Greece’s first visit to Estonia since the 2018 World Cup (WC) qualifiers. Each team will play six games – three home and three away – to determine who will be promoted to League B and get an early opportunity for early qualification to Euro 2020.
By virtue of being ranked the lowest at the time of the draw, the hosts are the slight favourites for relegation ahead of the competition. Qualification for Euro 2020 through this tournament would be a first for Estonia, who have not qualified for any major finals in their history.
Recent form is a telling factor of their minnow status, as the Baltic state has won just one of its last seven games (W1, D3, L3). Furthermore, no Estonia team has ever beaten Greece in four attempts (D2, L2).
Euro 2004 winners Greece have a much stronger European pedigree than today’s hosts, as was shown in their recent WC qualifying group. Greece took four points from Estonia across those two games, and fell only to eventual WC finalists Croatia in play-off qualifiers.
Players to watch: Matthias Käit is yet to make an appearance for club side Fulham this season. For Estonia, however, he has five goals in just 16 caps.
Greek striker Konstantinos Mitroglou scored last time out for his club Marseille. He has 16 goals from 59 appearances for his nation.
Stat attack: Estonia have failed to score a goal against Greece in any of the last two meetings.
Greece have failed to score a goal in three of their last four games.
Estonia have conceded at least two goals in three of their last five home games, all to teams ranked higher than themselves.
