MATCH PREVIEW

In what should be a completely one-sided clash, eleven-time Coupe de France (CDF) winners Paris Saint-Germain face third-tier National 1 (N1) Les Herbiers at the Stade de France for the final of the CDF 2017/’18.
Les Herbiers have had a poor season in N1. Despite a 3-2 at home win against Laval in the last round they find themselves down in 11th position, just two points about the relegation zone. Their league form makes their run to the final even more remarkable. In the CDF, they thumped four-time champions Auxerre (3-0) and knocked-out three-time runners-up Lens (1-0), before seeing off fellow N1 side Chambly in the semis.
Currently on a run of 14 straight L1 matches without a loss (W11, D3), domestic treble-hunting champions PSG come into the final after two-straight 2-2 draws in L1 against Guingamp at home and away to Amiens last Friday – their longest winless run in the top flight since December 2016!
If a miracle was to occur, Les Herbiers could join Le Havre (1959) and Guingamp (2009) as the only third-tier winners of the CDF. Meanwhile, PSG have won the cup a record 11 times in their history and are on course for a record-breaking fourth consecutive title (2015, 2016, 2017), joining both Lille and Red Star as three-time winners last year.
Players to watch: PSG star-striker Ángel Di María is the top scorer in the CDF this season with seven goals.
Di María will go head-to-head with Les Herbiers midfielder Louis Bongongui who has scored four goals in his last three appearances in the CDF this season.
Stat attack: This game will mark the first-ever meeting between these two sides.
Les Herbiers have won seven-straight fixtures in the CDF this season, scoring at least two goals in six of them. However, they have met no L1 side in the competition.
No other club has scored more goals than PSG so far this CDF campaign (20), scoring an average of four goals per game!
