League: NETHERLANDS: Eredivisie – Round 32
Match: 17:30 Utrecht – Groningen
Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals
Average odds: 1.41
Bookmaker: bwin
Result: 1:1 LOST

Just one win in six games makes poor reading for fans of Utrecht (W1, D2, L3). They welcome a young Groningen side who ahead of the round, are almost over the safety line.
Last time here, the hosts extended their unbeaten home run to 12 games (W6, D6) with a 94th minute equalising strike from Zakaria Labyad last time out at the Woudestein.
Indeed, the story of the season would point straight to a home victory, Utrecht have lost just once at home all season (W8, D6, L1), with that defeat coming to the champions PSV. They currently lie second behind PSV by virtue of goal difference in a five-game home form table.
Meanwhile, Groningen have only won a single game away game all season. They are currently on a winless run of nine away games, six of which have seen both teams score. By extension, only one of their last 15 away games has given them a clean sheet.
We could be in for a thriller! each of Utrecht’s last five league games have produced over 3.5 goals. Not only this, but each of their last nine Eredivisie games have produced at least 2.5 goals.
Players to watch: Gyrano Kerk returns from suspension here, the young Utrecht forward has scored in each of his last two starts.
After his goal last week, 19-year-old Ritsu Doan equalled Arjen Robben’s record of eight goals as a teenager for Groningen – and he could surpass it with another here.
Stat attack: Utrecht have conceded at least three goals in each of their last three Eredivisie games, but have also scored at least three in each of their last three home games!
The expectation of entertainment is further justified by the fact that just under half of Utrecht’s games this season have finished with over 3.5 goals scored (15/31).
